Dr. Cathy Reimers is a licensed clinical psychologist and an author with more than 30 years of experience providing psychotherapy to individuals and families, helping them manage their anxieties, depression and other challenges. She feels truly fortunate and blessed to say, “I have dedicated much of my life as a practicing psychologist to helping people overcome their difficulties. I love what I do. I was motivated to develop anxiety reduction programs because of the stressful times in which we live, with so many people feeling overwhelmed, drained, and just simply surviving.”

More recently, she has received advanced training in the treatment of anxiety, utilizing the latest Neuroscience and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy principles for retraining the brain to become more resistant to anxiety. By applying these principles we will learn new ways of thinking, methods for reinforcing new behaviors, and approaches for managing our reactions to various situations.

Dr. Cathy wrote a book a few years ago titled The Perfect Family Storm: Tips to Restore Mental Health And Strengthen Family Relationships in Today’s World, that discusses the convergence of life’s stressors, and helping families cope with the challenges of technology, addiction, violence, finances, dishonesty, physical and mental illness, and more. Little did she know the parallel events that would occur in 2020-21 COVID pandemic, spinning many individuals and families in a turmoil of anxiety and depression.

Dr. Cathy offers the following services:

Psychotherapy – Telehealth is an online video or phone therapy with Dr. Cathy.  This service is secure, HIPAA compliant, and provides an easy and convenient way to participate in the therapy sessions. Wellness Program – Anxiety Reduction  is a one-on-one online video or phone wellness session with Dr. Cathy. The program incorporates neuroscience and mindfulness techniques to teach you how to reduce anxiety in your life.

Wellness Program – Dog Mindfulness  is a one-on-one online video or phone wellness session with Dr. Cathy. This a unique program is tailored to dog owners. It leverages the special connection between owner and dog in applying and reinforcing techniques based upon neuroscience and mindfulness principles for reducing anxiety in your life.
